RETIRED EDDY FARMER DIES
WHILE DRIVING TO CHURCH

       Alfred Grady Bowers, 58 year old retired farmer of Eddy, died of a heart attack suffered at 7:55 p.m. Saturday as he and his daughter, Mrs. Ernest Quicksall, of Eddy were driving to church.
       Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
       Mr. Bowers was born in Falls County and had lived in Eddy and Blevins communities practically all his life.  He had been in poor health the last several years.
       Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Georgia Bowers of Lorena, two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Quicksall of Eddy, and Mrs. J. W. Kendrick of Waco; four sisters, Mrs. Louis Concilio of Waco, Mrs. C. D. Stone of Eddy, Mrs. Elige Broome of Lott, and Mrs. Drew Walthall of Taylor, three grandchildren.

       Alfred Grady Bowers, age 58, died at 7:55 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 1952, after being stricken there with a heart attack.  He was a native of Falls County and had lived in the Blevins and Eddy sections most of his lifetime.
       Funeral services were held Monday from the Eddy Baptist Church with the Rev. L. L. Thornton of Temple, and Rev. L. V. Rhodes of Waco officiating.  Burial was in the Blevins cemetery.
       He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Georgia Bowers of Lorena.  Two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Quicksall, Eddy and Mrs. J. W. Kendrick, Waco.  Four sisters, Mrs. C. D. Stone, Eddy, Mrs. Lige Broom, Lott, Mrs. Drew Walthall, Taylor, and Mrs. Louis Concilio, Waco.  Also three grandchildren.
