OBITUARY.
It is our duty to record
the sad intelligence of the death of Mr. F. W. Borum which deplorable event
occurred at the family residence in this city last Saturday morning at 2
o'clock. Mr. Borum was born in Ellis county, Texas, April 30, 1854, and at
the time of his death was 48 yers (sic), 3 months and 23 days.
He had been in bad health for several
months and for some weeks preceeding his death was confined to his bed.
The end came to him in peace and he quietly went to rest, conscious to the last
and with no fear of his future. In life he was an earnest christian and
consistent member of the Baptist church and it must be comforting to the loved
ones he leave to mourn, to know that he died with a full consciousness of his
everlasting reward in the city not made with hands.
A Friend.
