The Slayer Surrendered.
-----
A killing occurred in the
northeastern portion of the county Monday afternoon in which two Hungarian
farmers were the participants.
Joseph Bohlar was instantly killed by
Stephen Comar, the killing occurring at the of the latter.
The trouble has been of long standing.
The two men came from the same community in the old country and have known each
other since boyhood. About a year ago they had a quarrel over some trivial
matter and have had a number since, each time increasing in bitterness.
According to the story told by Stephinas, Joseph had drawn a gon on his
(Stephinas') wife, Stephinas came out with a shot gun in one hand a pistol in
the other. Stephinas' gun was discharged, the load taking effect near
Bohlar's heart, producing death.
Stephinas surrendered to Louis Riwer and
was by him turned over to City Marshal Coleman at Otto and brought to Marlin and
placed in jail.
