decorations furnished entertainment for members of the T.E.L. Sunday School
Class of the First Baptist Church Sunday afternoon. The party, which
started at 3 o'clock, was the annual Christmas party of the class, and was held

served from a table centered with an arrangement of red carnations. Mrs.
Corley and Mrs. Audrey Jackson poured tea and coffee from silver services at
either end of the table.
Mrs. Johnnie Gholson conducted group singing of Christmas carols and sang
several solos.
Mrs. Henry Church, program chairman, asked the various members and guests to
relted their most memorable Christmas. She later read a short story by
Kathleen Norris, "If I Only Had the Money, Wht I would Do." The story
reflected the the value of personal service and love for others which costs
nothing and pointed out that a pauper could help others.
