SIXTH GRADE MUSIC STUDENTS
GIVE PROGRAM
A group of 16 sixth grade music students of Mrs. Sidney Hughes
assisted by a trio of third graders, presented a holiday musical program
Wednesday at the luncheon meeting of the Marlin Rotary Club, at the Falls Hotel.
School Supt. A. M. Tate was program chairman.
The sixth grade boys and girls who formed the choir were Monty Stem, James
Bryan, Steve Aldredge, Harvey Cox, Randy Falsone, Randy Greer, Dan Delleney, Don
Moore.
Also, Susan Steele, Maria Hughes, Sue Parrish, Mary Lee Patterson, Cathey
Nichols, Gay Grusendorf, Claire Shelton and Gwen Garrett.
The third graders who participated in the activities, all dressed like Santas,
were Charles Nichols, Bill Shelton, Victor Randazzo, Mike Vogler and Robert
Langley.
Narrator for the program was Sue Parrish. The musical numbers were
presented as follows:
Jingle Bells, Maria Hughes and Monty Stem (piano duo). At this point the
narrator pointed out "that we couldn't have Christmas without Santa Claus, and
for good measure, today we have five." Thus she introduced the five young
Santas, the third graders who proceeded to enliven activities considerably.

Garrett and Maria Hughes.

Oh, Little Town of Bethlehem,
chorus and narrator.
Away in a Manager, and Silent Night,
Claire Shelton, soloist.
Hark the Herald Angels Sing,
chorus and narrator.
Joy to the World,
Chorus and narrator.
We Wish You a Merry Christmas,
chorus.
