YARD PLANTING OUTLINE
SHOWN AT CLUB MEETING
~~~~~
Members Vote to Leave Canner and
Sealer in Kitchen at
All Times.
Members of Lamar
Demonstration Club met in the of Mrs. Louis Williams Thursday afternoon at three
o'clock with a good attendance.
Mrs. Williams explained and showed a drawing of her yard planting plan and yard
improvement, as she is the yard demonstrator for 1932.
The club voted to leave the canner and sealer in the kitchen at all times after
Saturday, January 9, and those wishing to use same may do so by complying with
the kitchen rules printed in an earlier issue of The Democrat.
"If you wish to use the kitchen utensils, they must be used in the kitchen,"
states the announcement. "All mothers are requested to please observe this
new rule and all others passed by the club. And to be
a member of the club for 1932, everyone who wishes must sign a new membership
card before the third Thursday in January."
The next meeting will be with Mrs. Herman Eiben on the Waco highway north of
Marlin. There will be an excellent program at this meeting. Mrs. Eiben is
yard demonstrator.
The club members went to the nursery and studied the different shrubs, which
were explained in detail, especially those not so expensive but beautiful.
