-----
A man by the name of Williams who said he lived at Cameron was placed in county
jail late Tuesday night upon suspicion of driving a car
while intoxicated, following a wreck on Highway Number Six about 11:30 p.m. near
the scene of the accident.
Deputy Sheriffs J. N. Davis and E. A.
Stallworth investigated the wreck following a call from a store near the scene
of the accident.
Williams, in company with another man and a
woman, were headed north and met a truck loaded with compressed cotton-bales
driven by Casey Jones of Lubbock, when the accident occurred. The woman
was bruised and bleeding and rushed to a hospital in Marlin. She was
released after first-aid treatment and it was found her injuries were not
serious. Williams suffered an abrasion on the nose. The other man
and the driver of the truck were uninjured.
