COUNTY COLLECTOR
HAS TRUCK DRIVER LICENSES
All Operators of Vehicles of Over
One Ton Required to
Obtain Them.
"All operators operating
a commercial vehicle of one-ton carrying capacity or over shall after August 22
be required to obtain a chauffeur's license," states a communication from
L. G. Phares, chief of the state highway patrol, to Lee Phillips, Falls county
tax collector, who has received a supply of the licenses for issuance to
applicants.
Mr. Pharee adds that the attorney general
has advised that this law in no way repeals the present law requiring that all
operators of any motor vehicle for compensation or hire shall obtain a
chauffeur's license.
