BAPTIST SUNDAY SCHOOL
WORKERS COUNCIL MEETS
-----
Twenty-Five Offices and Teachers
Attend Session Held at
Church.
-----
Twenty-five officers and teachers of the First Baptist Sunday school attended
the July session of the Workers Council held at the church Friday evening, the
Cradle Roll and Beginners departments being tied for the attendance banner, each
having 100 per cent present.
Reports for June showed the Beginners led
with an average per cent present of 75 and an average grade of 78, while the
Primary department was a close second with an average per cent present of 74 and
an average grade of 76.
One class, that of Mrs. J. D. Oltorf, made
a 100 per cent record during the month.
The Juniors, Intermediates, Cradle Roll and
Adults ranked next in the order listed.
Commenting on the recent successful revival
staged by the church, Rev. S. D. Dollahite, the pastor, urged that the spirit of
soul winning be kept up in the Sunday school work. Rev. C. G. Watt,
director of the choir this summer, reported young people of the church active.
The closing prayer was given by E. B. Holloway.
