BRIDE-ELECT SHOWERED
WITH MANY LOVELY GIFTS
Miss Maurine Olinger, bride-elect of Allen Causby, was showered with lovely
gifts when she was named honoree at a bridge party given by Mrs. Joe Johnston
Thursday afternoon.
Sweetpeas and lilies decorated the rooms
and the four tables were centered with orange blossoms in crystal baskets tied
with white satin ribbon. The bridal motif was also noted in the
bride's-slipper tallies and the table cuts which were gold miniature slippers
surmounted by turtle doves.
This was a lucky day for the honor guest,
for she made high score and received a dainty award, and the hostess gifts to
her were a bride's book and a hand-made quilt. She also received many
attractive and useful gifts in the shower.
Ice cream molded in wedding slippers and
angel food squares were served.
