Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00
p.m. for Richard Matkin, age 20 months, who died at a Waco sanitarium at 11:40
a.m. Sunday. Services were from the of his grandmother, Mrs. L. J. Matkin, 1700
Live Oak avenue, with Rev. F. B. thorn officiating. Interment was in Oakwood
cemetery. Richard, with three of his brothers and sisters, were all ill at the
same time with something akin to ptomaine poisoning. Mr.s and Mrs. Matkin, who
recently moved to Rosebud, took the children to a Waco sanitarium by ambulance.
The other children are considered out of danger according to latest reports.
