FORTY-THREE MUSICIANS
WILL JOIN in CONCERT

Public Invited to Hear Program on
Falls County Courthouse
Lawn.

Forty-three musicians will comprise a band slated to give a free concert on the
Falls county courthouse lawn at eight o'clock Friday night under direction of
Judge W. S. Hunnicutt, Marlin High school band director. The public is
invited to hear them.
In addition to Marlin high school
musicians, the band will include graduates now members of college bands and
several other players who have moved in here this summer or reside near Marlin.
They held a rehearsal Wednesday night in the high school auditorium.
Members of the band, all of whom are Marlin
High school students except those otherwise indicated, with instruments they
will play indicated, are:
Cornet -- Condy Nichols, Henry Baushausen,
Jack Chilton, Pauline Chilton, Frank McKinley, Edwin Holze.
Clarinet -- Joe Dollahite, Hal Spencer,
Paul Davis, Donald Cobb, Herbert Hooper, Travis Criswell, Emmett C. Barrow,
Frank Phillips, Simmons College; Chas. Voelter, Texas University; Frank Haynes
from Lott High school, who has moved to Marlin; Everett Maxwell, Abilene
Christian College; Cecil Clark, who has recently moved to Marlin from San
Antonio.
Trombone -- Jack Tubb, Sam Dollahite,
Walter Smith, Texas university; Custer Chatmas, Alvin Haug, Louis Williams.
Baritone -- Wilson Wieting, Carrol Miles,
Ernest Maxwell, Abilene Christian College who will attend Texas University this
year.
Saxophone -- Nell Lois Garrett, Garland
Barton, Flavy Davis, Dodson Garrett.
Bass -- Maurice Hooper, Southern Methodist
University; Reinhold Haug Memorial College; John Wieting.
French horn -- F. W. Fink, Jr., H. L. Cobb,
Jr., John Tarleton College.
Alto -- Jack Wilson, Messrs. Wieting and
Haug.
Drums -- Mary Louise Criswell, Southwest
Texas State Teachers College; Albert Adams, Texas University; Tom Goodrich, A.
and M. College of Texas; Cecil King, Southwest Texas State Teachers College.
