MISSIONARY SOCIETY OF
BAPTIST CHURCH MEETS
~~~~~
Program Presented and Members
Vote For Mission Program
This Month
Decisions to
hold a mission program this month was reached at the regular February business
session of the Woman's Missionary Society of the First Baptist church of Marlin
at the church Monday afternoon.
The meeting opened with calendar prayer led by Mrs. Mary Hair, while Mrs. H. A.
Dupuy, auxiliary president, conducted the devotional, her topic being "Helping
Others." A song in keeping with the theme was sung by a quartet composed
of Mesdames Ralph Beard, J. L. Collier, G. L. Hutchings, and Basil Curry, the
latter being a visitor at the meeting, with accompaniment by Mrs. Roye Eddins.
A missionary program was given including presentation of a three-act playlet,
"Dragon of Sin," by members of the Royal Ambassadors under supervision of Mrs.
C. B. Francks, director of this organization. "Take my Life and Let it
be," was sung by Cam Fannin with Mrs. Dupuy at the piano.
Reports were heard during the business session of the society. Sixty-three
members attended the meeting.
The Business Woman's Circle of the society met Monday night with Mrs. R. L.
Norwood, who led the devotional and lesson from "Royal Service." Six
members were present.
