Dallas and Marlin Physicians Heard
by Falls County
Society
Origin and treatment of stones in the kidney and ureter were discussed at length
by Dr. J. S. Davis of Dallas in a talk featuring the August session of the Falls
County Medical Society at the Buie Clinic in Marlin Monday night.
As a non-surgical procedure, Dr. Davis told
of use of diathermy (electric current), which, in certain cases by relaxation of
ureteral spasm results in passage of stones.
Dr. N. D. Buie discussed diseases of the
blood vessels and the treatment of high blood pressure, in which he pointed out
that under proper that under proper care many patients who have high blood
pressure not only may live comfortably for many years but can often continue
their usual employment.
Dr. G. H. Hampshire was program chairman at
the meeting. Dr. H. E. Hipps was chosen chairman for the September
session.
