RULES ANNOUNCED FOR
USE OF CLUB KITCHEN
Adopted by Lamar Demonstration
Club Members at Recent
Meeting
Adopted by the Lamar Demonstration Club at a recent meeting,
rules for use of the club kitchen on the Falls county courthouse lawn in Marlin
are:
1. Sign for the use of the kitchen on a particular day and use will be
granted in the order of the request. Sign on the calendar in Miss Jacks'
office and secure key, hanging on the nail behind the door. In case you
cannot use the kitchen on day mentioned, strike your name from the calendar.
2. Check utensils found in the kitchen and return these to their proper
places at the end of the day. The kitchen and all utensils must be left
clean, and the floor scrubbed, remove screen when scrubbing, replace afterwards.
Dispose of all garbage.
3. Be sure to turn off gas, water, lights, and lock the door and windows,
return key to the proper place.
4. In order to cover the cost of the use of the kitchen, a club member
should give one can out of every 20 cans, labeled with the name of the product
and canner's name. If less than 20 cans, one out of the number canned
should be left in the kitchen. If you wish to keep products, leave the
value of the can in money. Amend by-laws in reference to due to read:
After November 1, 1931, any new member will be charged no dues, but in case they
want to use the kitchen and club equipment, they will be expected to pay 50
cents as other members have already paid, and give one can out of every 20 cans.
5. Persons not members of the Lamar Club may use the kitchen subject to
the same rules as the member, except they shoudl give one can out of every 10
cans to the club and pay 50 cents each time they use the kitchen.
