Over 200 persons
were present for dinner on the ground served Wednesday as a feature of the
quarterly sectional meeting of Full Gospel church opening in Marlin Tuesday
night and continuing through Wednesday evening.
District Superintendent E. N. Newby of Dallas was the principal speaker at the
gatherings, delivering sermons Tuesday night., Wednesday morning and Wednesday
evening.
Waco sent a delegation of 60 persons to the convention while Corsicana,
Thornton, Temple and Mexia as well as Marlin churches were well represented,
states Rev. J. R. Richardson, pastor of the Full Gospel Tabernacle of Marlin.
Reports of activities of churches in this section of the state were received
from pastors and delegates attending the convention, while inspirational
messages also featured the sessions.
