BLOODHOUNDS ASKED TO
TRAIL ESCAPED CONVICT
Alleged "Lifer" Believed Hiding
Woods in West Falls
County
A request for bloodhounds to aid in trailing an escaped
convict believed to be hiding in a wooded section of the western part of Falls
county near Durango was reported communicated by Sheriff Reese to Texas
penitentiary authorities today.
Tipped off that the man had (missing) in that section for some time, Sh(eriff)
Reese and Deputy Ray went there early to day. Later, the sheriff notified
his office in Marlin that request had been made for the dogs.
Prison authorities were quoted as saying the man believed to be the one sought
was given a life term.
