CITY FEDERATION WILL
HONOR STATE PRESIDENT

Club Members Desiring to Attend
Dinner Requested to Make
Reservations.

Honoring Mrs. R. F. Lindsey of Mount Pleasant, president of the Federated Clubs
of Texas, a dinner will be given in the private dining room of the Hilton hotel
at 6:30 o'clock Wednesday evening, it was decided at a meeting of the Marlin
City Federation of Women's Clubs Friday.
Mrs. Lindsay will be met at Waco Wednesday
and escorted to Marlin by a committee from the City Federation.
At the dinner that evening, each club is
requested to send its president or some other representative as a club guest,
while all other Marlin club women desiring to attend are invited, but are
requested to make reservations by nine a.m. Wednesday with Mrs. Levi Goodrich,
president of the City Federation.
The occasion of Mrs. Lindsay's visit to
Marlin is to address the Texas federation of negro women's clubs, which opens
its annual convention here Tuesday, and all Marlin club women are invited to
hear her speak at the negro Baptist church at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday evening.
She will return Thursday.
