BEULAH-SHIELDS CLUB
HEARS LECTURE BY MISS JACKS
Use of Sealer in Canning is Demonstrated
to Members -- To Give Ice Cream
Supper.
The Beulah-Shields Demonstration Club met with Mrs. C. Loudermilk Tuesday
afternoon at two o'clock. There were twenty-one members present, three new
members and three visitors.
Miss Onah Jacks was also present and gave a
lecture and demonstration on vegetable canning. The use of the sealer,
both for sealing and for reaming old cans was also demonstrated.
The club is giving an ice cream supper at
Shields schoolhouse Saturday night, May 23. Everyone is invited.
The next meeting will be June 4, with Mrs.
Alfred Roming as hostess. The program for this meeting will include the
demonstrations of cheese making by Mrs. George Huber, the making and canning of
kraut by Mrs. John Huber, and the making of a French bean and carrot salad by
Mrs. W. C. Tisdale.
Every member is expected and others who are
interested are invited.
