Circles Nos. 1,2,3, and 4
of the Woman's Missionary Society of the First Baptist church met at the church
Monday afternoon, the session opening with the song, "Ready," followed by prayer
led by Mrs. J. C. Fountain, Sr.
"Religious Influences on the Social World"
was the subject of an inspiring address by Mrs. John Hume of Houston.
Report of the committees on membership of
circles was read by Mrs. S. D. Dollahite, and new circle rolls were called.
The new circles then met and elected officers. They are:
Circle No. 1--Mrs. A. O. Curry, chairman;
Mrs. J. W. Morgan, co-chairman; Mrs. A. G. Hendrick, secretary; Mrs. J. W.
Barnett, treasurer; Mrs. R. E. L. Tomlinson, Bible leader; Mrs. R. L. Norwood,

Dorcas Circle met with Mrs. Gene Herring,
14 members and two visitors attending. Mrs. C. B. Francks brought the
Bible lesson on Jeremiah.
