Weekly Meet of the Social Club.
-----
The Wednesday Social club
held the regular weekly meeting with Mrs. Mollie Bartlett Wednesday afternoon.
The members looked forward to this meeting, expecting nothing less than a most
excellent time, and none were in the least disappointed.
Sixteen members responded to roll call with
current news.
A destitute family was reported and the
charity committee instructed to render assistance.
Other interesting matters were given proper
attention, after which the social feature was ushered in and reigned most
pleasantly. The popular game of 42 was indulged in. Mrs. E. P.
Hutchings' talley card registered the largest number of punches and her success
was rewarded with a beautiful stick pin, Mrs. Geo. Frank taking the consolation
prize, a china hat pin holder.
Guests were Mesdames Branson, Finks and J.
W. Bartlett.
Delightful refreshments were served and
enjoyed by all.
After thanking the hostess for a pleasant
afternoon the club adjourned to meet next with Mrs. W. O. Bunch.
