W. O. BROWN IS CONVICTED.

Given 30 Years for Killing Albert
Sydney Johnston.
Dallas, Tex., Dec. 11.--The jury in the case of W. O. Brown, president of the
Brown Buggy Manufacturing company of Dallas, for killing Albert Sydney Johnston,
a traveling salesman of Arlington, Texas, today returned a verdict of guilty of
murder in the second degree and assessed his punishment at thirty years in the
penitentiary. Brown, who was out on a $25,000 bond, was locked up in the
county jail as soon as the verdict was rendered. He killed Johnston in the
lobby of the St. George hotel, Dallas, on January 22, 1907.
