Victim of Accident at Lorena.
-----
Lorena, Tex., Sept. 12.--Cooper Williams, the well known gin man of this city,
was the victim of a very painful accident this morning about 8 o'clock and the
result of it will be that he will be laid up for some time to come.
Mr. Williams, while walking around his
boiler, stepped into a puddle of boiling water about two feet deep and was
scalded from his feet to his knees and the skin was peeled off of his legs up to
the knees.
The puddle of water was caused from the
exhaust of the engine and Mr. Williams, in walking around the engine, did not
observe his danger and the result was he stepped into the hot water.
