SON JONES AVENGES A DISHONOR
-----
Fires Two Shots at Fleeting Form
of Earl Reed.
-----
Son Jones took two fancy shots at the fleeting form of Earl Reed Thursday night.
One shot took effect in the arm of Reed, but the wound is slight. Both are
negroes.
Son is one of the drivers for the Big N ice
plant. The story goes that when he went he found the negro Reed there
under suspicious circumstances and he proceeded to bring his shooting iron into
requisition. The iron is of a cheap pattern, it was dark and Son's airm
was rather unsteady, hence the damage was slight.
The Reed negro drivers the delivery wagon
for Clark's furniture store.
