ROBBED A BOARDING CAR.

Four Negroes Detained Charged
With the Offense.

The boarding car used by a gang of workmen on the H. & T. C., near Reagan, was
entered Wednesday afternoon and three pair of shoes, a razor and some other
articles extracted therefrom.
Three negroes were arrested in Marlin
Wednesday night and one today charged with the crime.
Two negroes who lost articles came to
Marlin and notified City Marshal Stallworth and that officer began a search.
He found two of them in front of the Haltmar restaurant. Constable
Hemphill found a third one at the house of George Leonard, a mile south of town.
The fourth one was arrested by Geo. B. Collier at the Marlin National Bank
corner this morning.
They give their names as Geo. Tibbs, Phil
Davis, Jake Reagan and Eula Williams. They had been employed on the gang
and were among several others who were discharged Wednesday morning.
They were placed in jail and charges of
theft preferred against them.
