MUCH ACTIVITY IN REAL ESTATE.
-----
AVERAGE PROPERTY AND TOWN LOTS
ARE IN DEMAND.
-----
The real
estate market has been rather active in Marlin the past few days. With the
advent of the visitors from Mineral Wells, San Antonio and Alabama, mention of
whose arrivals and objects has been made, there has been a marked improvement in
the tone of the local demand for Marlin dirt.
These
gentlemen have made a number of investments, including about 30 acres in
Threadgill addition, other acreage property east of town and a number of smaller
tracts in town. Options have been secured on considerable other property.
The papers
have not been perfected in some of these deals yet, but are in course of passage
and will be closed up within a few days.
The
gentlemen know the value of property and they have not misplaced any confidence
or any money in Marlin, the "Belle of the Brazos" and all together lovely.
As to what
these men are going to do with their holdings--well it will develop in time.
Suffice it to say just now that the town is in for a good deal.
