A Fine Rain at Golinda.
-----
To The Democrat
Golinda, Texas, April 17--We had a fine rain Tuesday afternoon, which was very
much appreciated. Crops had suffered a great deal; the cotton that was not
up would have never come up without rain. Everybody is wearing a smile or
laughing, which may be changed up, if it does not moderate soon. The
thermometer now hovers at 47 at 11 o'clock on Wednesday.
B. F.
Allen and Miss Delia Hale were married Sunday at 4 o'clock, Rev. A. F. Moore
officiating. May their joys b as deep as the ocean, their troubles as
light as the foam is the sincere wish of numerous relatives and friends.
Golinda
has taken on a sudden growth. It has grown half a mile longer than it was
formerly by D. E. Wooley going into business half a mile south of Golinda.
