New Rural Route for Reagan.
The
examination was held Saturday by Postmaster Emerson for applicants for
appointment as carrier on the new rural free delivery route out of Reagan.
There were seven applicants for appointment, all of whom took a rigid
examination. Their papers will be sent to Washington where they will be
graded and the name of the successful applicant given out.
The new
route will extend westward from Reagan, crossing the Brazos river at the lower
new bridge going out and at the upper new bridge coming in. The route will
serve a considerable number of patrons on the west side of the river as well as
on the east.
