Wednesday Musical Club.
-----
The Wednesday Matinee Musical Club held its regular session Wednesday afternoon
at the of Mrs. Frank Burkhead.
After the reports of officers and
committees were heard new business was taken up. It was voted to retain
membership in the national and state federations, and that reports be sent
accordingly to the national and state officers.
A motion was made and carried that
preceeding each program the name of the piece, composer, and other exposition
that can be given should be made by the performer.
The musical features of the program were
dispensed with, the only number being a reading, "A Pianist as Heard by an
Engineer," by Mrs. Lily F. Levi.
The musical game that followed proved very
enjoyable.
After a delicious cream and cake course,
the guest indulged in a social chat with one another and their two guests, Mrs.
Cappell of Mexia and Miss Gee of Pilot Point.
