Henry Schroeder Enter The Market
--Wants 500 Bales.
-----
Henry H. Schroeder, a well known farmer living east of town bulled the local
cotton market Tuesday by posting a bid of 14 cents for the fleecy staple.
When accosted by The Democrat for a reason
for suddenly entering the field with such glowing colors, he intimated that it
was none of our particular concern, so long as he paid the price and got the
cotton.
We agree with him and hope that he will get
ten thousand bales at the above figure, or higher, and that he will make a
handsome profit on each bale he buys.
