Deputy Sheriff Joe Bailey went out to Durango in response to a telephone message
and arrested J. B. Clowers and placed him under a $200 bond, he being charged
with insulting a daughter of C. Z. High.
The Lott public school closed with
exercises on both Thursday and Friday nights. They gave a rendition of the
"Three Hats," which was well rendered and enjoyed by all present. On
account of inclement weather the crowd was not very large.
The award of diplomas to the following list
of graduates took place: Misses Maud Moore, Mattie Sue Perry, Fannie King
and Ora Walkup; Messrs Frank Glass, Otis Hayes, J. H. English and Jake
Tomlinson. Hon. Pat Neff of Waco delivered an address.
