Young Man Fires Into Party of Men
and Women.

Bud Ross of McGregor is
charged with firing into a party of young people at Waco Wednesday night at 8
o'clock. One man, R. L. Warren, was struck in the spine and dangerously
wounded.
Warren is electrician at the Metropolite
hotel and he was with a party of young ladies at the Farmers hotel, where the
shooting occurred. Ross was formerly a caller upon Miss Minnie Preston,
who was one of the party, but she had discarded him. d (sic) this is supposed to
have lead to the shooting.
