IMPROVEMENT AT FIRE STATION
-----
Department Well Equipped with the
Quarters at Station House.
-----
The Marlin Volunteer Fire
Department has, under the direction of Assistant Chief B. F. Foster, recently
overhauled, renovated and repaired its quarters at the station. The
sleeping apartments of the men who stay at the station, have received special
attention and now look spick and span.
The reception hall has been fitted with
tables, chairs, etc., which will be of great convenience in meetings and
consultations of the department.
The entire interior of the second story has
been repainted, the rooms overhauled and rearranged. There will be more
comfort to those who occupy them than in the past.
A porcelain bath tub will probably be added
and when this is done there will be little left to be desired for the present.
The citizens of Marlin are greatly indebted
to the department for protection to their property in the past and it should be
reason for congratulation that it is now upon such a creditable basis.
