House Struck by Lightning.
-----
House Badly Damaged--People Unhurt
--Two Dogs Were Killed.
-----
What is considered little less than a miracle occurred ten miles northeast of
Marlin, out on the Brushy Tuesday afternoon, when lightning struck the residence
of W. T. Mains. The house was badly damaged, as was the furniture and two
dogs killed, one on the gallery of the house and the other under. Members
of the family in the house were unhurt, beyond a severe shock.
The fact that they were not killed outright
or badly injured is miraculous, as they were very near to the furniture that was
demolished.
