House Attacked by Unknown Parties.
-----
On the night of June 19th unknown parties attacked the house of T. B. Watson,
living about three miles east of Marlin. It is believed that the parties
had robbery as their motive. Mr. Watson was aroused by the noise and
procuring his gun, fired upon them, but without effect. They were chased
from the premises by the dogs.
Mr. Watson has posted notices warning his
neighbors and the public to be on their guard and saying that his gun and dogs
is all that saved him.
