Honored Maccabee Ladies.
-----
The Marlin Hive of Lady Maccabees was delightfully entertained Thursday
afternoon at the K. of P. hall with Mesdames Schuh, Stringer and Portele as
hostesses. Like the bees they brought the good things with them and came
determined to have a good time and make it pleasant for every body, in which
they certainly succeeded.
In the word making contest, Mrs. Hoke came
first with Mrs. Kennedy and Miss Hutchings second. In the authors'
contest, Mrs. McComb proved to be the best guesser. Misses Barbara
Rickleman and Imogene Schuh rendered several nice selections on the piano.
The most delicious cream and cake was served.
