Mission Society.

The Womans Mission Society held a social meeting at the residence of Mrs. P. C.
Byrne on Monday afternoon at 5:30.
The president, Mrs. J. W. Spivey opend the
meeting with the Lord's Prayer after which a number of scripture quotations on
Love were given. Devotional exercises were followed by a short musical
program.
Miss Clarkson's instrumental solo was
beautifully rendered and was followed by a vocal solo from Mrs. Hillen, "Three
Green Bonnets: by D'Hardelot.
Mrs. F.M. Burkhead read an instructive
leaflet on the work of the Supply Department. Mrs. Chenault by request of
the president gave a piano selection which was much appreciated. Mrs.
Hillen was asked for another song which she gave, rendering a sweetly Edwin
Green's "Rock me to Sleep" after which the meeting resolved itself into a "happy
family" with ripples of laughter and pleasant interchange of thought. Mrs.
Byrne served delicious fruit punch and cake which was greatly enjoyed. The
presence of several visitors was noted and appreciated that the visits would be
repeated. With many expressions of good will the members departed carrying
with them memories of another pleasant hour with the Mission Society.
