Bunch of Pleas Of Guilty in County
Court.

J. W. Madison was assessed a fine of a cool $100 in the county court Tuesday on
the charge of carrying a pistol, to which he plead guilty.
There have been an unusually large number
of pleas of guilty at this term of the court, the last batch including the
following for gaming:
Sam Mack, Mack Smith, Jim Dixon, Van
Dephreo, Taylor Waite, Sam Waite, Will Russell, Box Section, Ben Menefee, Frank
Trivena, Frank Flores, Monk Williams, Major Babels and Tom Moore. In each
case the defend(ant) was fined the sum of $10 and the trimmings.
Richard Elligan, charged with theft got
$5.00 and a term in jail.
Monroe Brady, the negro who whipped his
wife with a china limb got $5.00.
