Grand Lodges Meet at Waco.
Waco,
Texas, Dec 2.--The Masonic Grand Chapter met this morning in the temple, Grand
High Priest of the Grand Chapter, Rev. P. M. Riley of Grandview presiding, with
John A. Ryan, grand secretary of Cleburne in the secretary's chair.
The Grand
Lodge will meet Tuesday morning, the Grand Chapter alternating with the Blue
Lodge, many of the delegates of the Grand Chapter being members of the Blue
Lodge.
John P.
Bell of Bellville is grand master of the Grand Lodge and John Watson secretary.
There were
very few arrivals in the city last night, but many delegates to the chapter
arrived this morning in time to attend the opening session of the Grand Chapter.
Many more are expected to arrive today and tonight to attend the sessions of the
Grand Lodge, the total number of delegates and visitors being expected to reach
near the one thousand mark.
Among the
prominent arrivals so far noted are Past Grand Masters Geo. W. Tyler of Belton
and A. W. Campbell of Dallas. Assistant Attorney General J. P. Lightfoot
of Austin is also here.
