New York, Nov. 11.--The additional engagement of $500,000 in gold for import was
announced today by Heidelbach, Ickalheimer and company. This makes the
total engagement to date $52,530,000.

Pittsburg First.
Pittsburg, Pa., Nov. 11--Gold coin to the value of $485,000 arrived here today
for the First National bank, being the first gold importation ever made by a
Pittsburg bank from Europe. Gold also arrived the Bank of Pittsburg,
Farmes Deposit National Bank and Melton National bank.

Haul Gold Through Street.
Chicago,
Nov. 11.--Three million dollars in gold was carried through the streets of
Chicago today in four wagons and guarded by fifty men. The gold was
transferred from the sub-treasury to the First National bank.
