COTTON CLOSED HIGHER.
Thirteen Points Up Said to Be
Due to Shorts.
The cotton
market closed thirteen points up Saturday.
The slight
advance is said to be due to shorts in the eastern markets around end of the
month.
Good
cotton was worth around 11 cents in Marlin Saturday.
There were
but very few bales on the market. What was offered at prevailing prices
was bought and the cash paid for same.
Two
hundred bales were bought at Otto Friday for Weld & Neville.
