Contesting a Will.
-----
A case of more than
ordinary interest to a large number of people living in the Stamp community was
on trial in county court this week. The nature of the case is a contest over a
will of the late Daniel Beir, involving property valued at about $10,000.
Bier made a will in December, 1906,
bequeathing all his property consisting principally of about 200 acres of black
land, to his half brother, Julius Beir.
The testor named Wm. Hander as executor and
the application to probe the will was filed in due form after the death of Beir.
It is this application that is being by Fritz and August, one of whom is a
brother and the other a half brother of the deceased.
The hearing was begun Tuesday and the
taking of testimony was concluded Wednesday. The evidence will be reduced
to writing, signed up and submitted to the court again Saturday, Nov. 2, for
final disposition.
