SHERIFF'S SALE
The State of Texas, county of Falls.
By virtue of an order of sale, issued out of the
Honorable Justice court, Precinct 1, of McLennan County, on 7th day of May, A,
D. 1904 by Justice Peace thereof, in the case of W. B. Stodgill versus David
Kennedy, et at. No. 13218, and to me, as Sheriff, directed and delivered, I will
proceed to sell for cash, within the hours prescribed by law for the Sheriff's
sale on the First Tuesday in June A. D. 1904, it being the 7th day of said
month, before the Court House door of said Falls County, in the city of Marlin
the following described property, to wit: 21.5 acres of land lying and being
situated in Falls County, Texas. on Cow Bayou, part of Pedro Zarza survey 5
leagues of land about 2 miles from Chilton contained in the different parcels or
tracts.
1st Tract: Beginning at the S E corner of the J. W.
Brown survey, from which a pecan tree bears N 19 1-2 w 7 vrs, thence N 28 W 734
vrs to N E corner of the J. W. Brown survey an EIm tree, thence N 62 E 380 vrs
to the N E corner of this survey from which an Elm tree bears N 821 vrs, another
Elm bears 8 11 E 11-5 vrs, thence S 28 E 678 vrs to the S E corner from which a
box elder vrs N 7 E 1 2-5 vrs and an Ash bears N 17 W 9 vrs thence following the
meandering of Cow Bayou to the place of beginning containing 48 acres.
2nd Tract: 92 acres on the south side of Cow Bayou just
opposite the 48 acre tract, beginning at the S W corner of the 48 acre tract
thence 862 W 21 vrs to H. E. Richies N E corner from which a box elder bears S
12 1-2 E 7 vrs, hackberry bears S 25 w 9 1-5 vrs thence S 26 E 1252 vrs to a
stone in prairie for S W corner in the north line of the Aguire league, thence n
62 e 357 VI s to s e corner in J. T. Masters fence, thence following Masters
fence 1351 vrs to corner in Cow Bayou; at 43 vrs s 62 vrs w Aylesworths s e
corner of 48 acre tract and continuing with the meanderings of said Cow Bayou to
the beginning containing ninety two acres of land.
3rd Tract: 75 acres, beginning where the east line of
the Jackson survey crosses Cow Bayou at a stake for corner from which an ash
bears n 15 e 2 vrs, a hackberry bears s 15 w 3-5 vrs, thence n 28 w 733 vrs to
the n e corner of the Jackson survey from which a peach bears s 83 1-2 w 8 vrs
an ash bears s 63 w 8 vrs, thence n 62 e 616 1-2 vrs to the n e corner, an elm
tree thence s 28 e 734 vrs to corner on bank of Cow Bayou from which a pecan
bears n 19 1-2 w 7 vrs, thence following the meanderings of said Cow Bayou to
the place of beginning, containing seventy five acres of land, levied on as the
property of David Kennedy et al to satisfy a judgment amounting to $140.60 in
favor of W. B. Stodgill and costs of suit.
