WILL NOT CLOSE.
-----
The Arlington Will Remain Open To
Guests.
-----
For several days it has
been reported that the Arlington hotel would close for the season, on or about
Sept. lst. A Democrat reporter asked Manager Harrison as to the
accuracy of the report, Mr. Harrison replied:
"There is absolutely nothing in the report
and I am at a loss to understand how such report should get in circulation.
I cannot conceive that it was started with any intention of injuring the hotel
and prefer to believe that it was done thoughtlessly by some one not familiar
with the intentions of the management.
'You can say, that the Arlington will not
only remain open but that it will be the aim of the management to keep the
institution right up to the standard. I have never lost confidence in the
immense possibilities of making Marlin an all the year round resort and the
public can rest assured that the Arlington will do its part. There is no
reason why people should not visit Marlin the same in the fall and winter
as in the spring and summer and it is our purpose to develop this feature."
