TRAVIS LOCALS.
Travis, Texas. Jan. 21.--It is with sorrow we chroncile (sic) the death of
Mrs. E. L. Johnson which ocurred (sic) Wednesday at 12 o'clock after a brief
illness.
She leaves a husband and two small
children, the youngest one month old and a host of relatives and friends to
mourn her untimely. (sic) Her remains were laid to rest in the Phillips
cemetery, Thursday afternoon.
Mr. Sansom, who has been confined to his
room for several weeks with pneumonia is slowly improving.
Mr. Grover Whiteside is right sick.
Threatened with pneumonia.
R. Scruggs of Kosse succeeds C. G. Davis in
the management of Markham and Reese Lumber and Hardware business at this place.
After several days of the coldest weather
of the winter, accompanied by a light rain and sleet, we are glad to see the
sunshine once more, with a rise in the temperature.
