TRAGEDY AT TEMPLE

Husband Kills His Wife And Her
Employer

A sensational double tragedy occurred at Temple Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock
when Billy Chandler, a well known barber, shot and killed his wife and Wm.
McLaughlin, manager for one of the telephone exchanges doing business in that
place.
The shooting took place in the telephone exchange where
Mrs. Chandler worked and caused the wildest excitement throughout Temple, all
parties being well known and highly respected.
Chandler, who did the killing has resided in Temple for
twenty years and his, wife is of a good family.
Soon after the killing Chandler surrendered and was
placed in jail.
