GIVEN TEN YEARS
The case of Ed Logan was called in district court Monday and a jury impannelled
to try the case.
The defendant was charged with the murder
of Neal Sealy in the Bradford restaurant last year, and was represented by
Johnson and Lewellyn, the state being represented by Boyles, Carter and B. H.
Rice.
The evidence was concluded in the afternoon
and a night session held at which arguments in the case were heard.
The jury was out only a few minutes and
returned a verdict for murder in the second degree and assessed the penalty at
ten years in the penitentiary.
