OLD TIME TELEGRAPHER.
Mr. Fall, an old time
telegraph operator who has been in the service of the Western union Telegraph
company in Houston for forty years and in the service of the company longer,
having served at other places besides Houston, is in Marlin with his wife for
their health.
Mr. Fall is a personal friend to T. P. Cook, general
superintendent Western Division, with headquarters at Chicago, also to T. J.
Frankel, district superintendent with headquarters at St. Louis.
Mr. Fall says he feels if he were a millionaire, he
would like to work on e day out of every week telegraphing for the Western
Union, as he feels more at in a telegraph office that elsewhere. He
expressed a desire to "die in harness" working for the above company.
