STRUCK OIL.

A Citizen of Chilton Finds A
Flow on His Farm.
-----
It is only a Pimple.
-----
Chilton
has some excitement over the finding of an oil vein there by one of its
citizens.
N J Bradley was boring a well on his farm
for water when he struck a vein of dark looking liquid from which there emitted
strong indications of kerosene.
A bottle was let down into the well by
means of a cord and a quantity of the liquid secured. An analysis of it
was made by a local chemist and he pronounced it genuine crude petroleum.
A piece of wood was saturated with it and
it burned readily.
The find may develope a pumper but a gusher
is hardly hoped for.
