RIGGINS NEXT MOVE.
-----
AN INJUNCTION NILL PROBABLY BE
ASKED OF SUPREME COURT.
-----
Austin,
Texas, Dec. 5.--J. R. Scarbrough, counsel for Mayor J. W. Riggins, of Waco, who
was impeached last night by the Waco council, is here this morning and he filed
an application for a writ of error to the supreme court, the court of civil
appeals having denied a rehearing.
Judge
Scarbrough was seen but did not care to discuss his next step.
It is
understood that he is preparing to file an application for a writ of injunction
in the supreme court to restrain the city council of Waco from interfering with
Riggins in the discharge of his duties as mayor notwithstanding that he is
impeached.
The
injunction would be effective until the determination of the case by the supreme
court.
